Default Deleting files on computer means you lose your stuff on Zune?

I have downloaded a bunch of videos on my laptop and it's kinda older and only has a 30 GB hard drive. So downloading some of these videos and my hard drive fills up fast. I started going through my computer and deleting the video files. So today I go to watch a movie and all my movies are gone. So basically if you want to watch movies on your Zune you have to keep the movie files on your computer as well? If so that sucks. Are there any programs that can bypass this so that they stay on your Zune until you actually tell the Zune program to get rid of the movie manually?

I believe in order to fix this, you need to turn AutoSync off.

Or you could by and external hard drive...and set it up so that all your media syncs from there.
