Ok, so the zune software doesn't work on my computer so I am using it on my brothers computer. I put a lot of my songs onto a burned cd, and when I upload them onto zune and try to change the artists it keeps putting it as one album and on artist instead of the different artists that are on there. I tried editing a song at a time but when I want to change the album info it won't let me, it changes all of the album infos from the burned cd. Does anyone understand what I mean?
Basically since it's from a burned cd, zune automatically puts it as one album when really there are different artists. It's getting really annoying and I don't know how to change it. Someone please help me! Also, besides transferring music through burned cds, how else can I transfer music from one computer to another? Please help. |

I haven't had this problem myself, but I'm pretty sure the zMeta tool on this site should help you to change to artist and tacks and stuff.
A flash drive is also very convienient when transferring music. If not, you could always hook you harddrive up as the slave drive on your brothers computer. |

2) edit the meta tags using Zune software. group the songs you want into one album and on and on. do you know how to do that?

- on the left select album and you'll see all the albums listed, if any atm. - im going to use 10 random songs as an example -say you select these 10 songs, right click and go to "Edit Track Info" - from here on, whatever you choose adds on to these 10 songs -Under Album , choose what you want it to be listed under in your Zune player and software. choose the same for Original Album -look above in the same settings and go to "Artist Info" -under Artist, leave the original artist example, "Bob Marley" if you want. Now you can choose to have under Album Artist, "Bob Marley" as well..if the entire album is by Bob Marley. if not you can choose "random" , "various" or whatever you want to be listed as, especially if they are random artists. that should do it. try it with 10 songs and get back to me in this thread.
