Firmware 1.0???

I just bought my Zune from a friend of mine who only gave me the sync cable and the device itself. With my luck, he didn't hold on to the cd and now I have a device that isn't working on my computer, I need the firmware 1.0. With the download of 1.2 the software doesn't match and I can't sync it and my pc isn't reading it. Please someone help me, if anyone knows a link or can help me out with getting 1.0.

I Could possibly get it for you off my CD. but it'll have to wait until Tomorrow.

The firmware shouldn't make a difference when the Zune is connected to the PC...
Think about it... what about the newly shipped Zunes with the new firmware on it?

And the software on the CD is exactly the same as that on the Zune website... I would look for other things to blame.

I'm not sure if there is a 1.0 available, because I think the first one released was 1.1.

Microsoft isnt going to give out 1.0 because of all the security issues with it, the cd contains 1.1 not 1.0, I dont know why so many people thought 1.0 was on the cd. They didnt include Wifi on 1.0 for a reason, So people would want to upgrade to 1.1 and not notice a difference except that you get wifi.

Oh, well I don't know. I just called the Zune number given on the site and that's what the dude said. I just got a hold of a cd and it's still not working. Nothing seems to be.

I do an install wizard thing and it's coming up with a yellow exclamation mark and saying "this device may not work properly Error Code: 10"

Any help?

1. Uninstall ZUNE software
2. Run automatic updates and download all the updates
3. Install Zune software again

Yeah I've done all of that kind of stuff. I spent a total of 5 hours with the Zune helpline thing. I'm guessing it has something to do with my drivers? Can anyone second that and if so help me out?
