Default Playing high quality video for TV-Out

I have the cable that plugs into the zune to the TV and plays videos and such on the TV.
But I want to play videos on the TV at higher resolutions like 640x480 instead of 320x240. SO it will look better. I know the zune plays only 320x240 on the player, but I thought maybe there is a hack or mod to let the player play 640x480 videos on the device so it would look better on the TV.

Is there anyway I can do this? Thanks for any help

No, because it is physically imposible for the Zune player to handle the increased bitrate. It doesn't have a fast enough processor

I think they tried this on another thread, but couldn't quite get it to work after getting it on the player.

Ok that makes sense, what if it was a lower bitrate, maybe around 700-800?

Thank for the help

It has little to do with the Zune being unable to handle the bitrate.
The Zune has a monster (adjective, not the brand :P ) processor, so this limitation is imposed through software.

We can do bitrates up to about 1400kbps... but it has to be 320x240 no more, no less.

You can sync 640x480 videos via the Zune HD Registry hack... I'm not sure if it'll play correctly, and I'm not sure if it will OUTPUT 640x480 on your TV either.

Anyone wanna try?

I tried it a while ago.. it will jitter a lot, but it will output to 640x480 (since that is the res it is outputting the whole time, just it's upscaling when it's doing videos).
