Default Zune Friendly Videos?

Are there any sites where you can download Zune friendly movies without having to go through the rigamarole of conversion to another format? Obviously, the iTunes store is right out, the Zune Marketplace doesn't offer feature movies, the Amazon unbox isn't compatible with the Zune, etc. Is there one that DOES actually work? Thanks!

Sorry mate I dont think there is one. However, the Zune marketplace may do in the future, I know that you buy music videos from there already.

Well, there are a few movies in particular that I'm interested in purchasing for my Zune, but I'm asking more of an "in general" question.

No There isnt a site that offers movies ripped for the zune but you can find downloads in the Zune friendly format.
The best way is to rip and convert yourself or download and convert.
but if you want to search around, be my guest.

probably the best thing to do is to rip them yourself. Or get them from your friends Zune.

Yep, one of my pet peeves is the lack of support for standard video files such as .avi's. Hate to run my computer for hours converting videos to .wmv's, but there's no way around it the vast majority of the time. Unless a software update allows for other formats to be recognized... I can only dream.

Sure there are. There are plenty of sites that offer free movie/music videos/music show downloads for the iPod in the .mp4 format. You just have to go through the trouble of googling them and finding them. The software converts .mp4 for you I believe. I don't know of anywhere with wmv formats videos, though.; )

um.. too bad .mp4 to wmv takes longer than for some .avi (divx based codec) files to wmv. Zune 30 doesn't support .mp4 thus takes a long time to convert the files from iPod compatible to zune compatible files.

If there wasn't copyright issue or you live next door to me, I would love to give you 100+ preconverted zune movie titles.

No, there are not many places, the favourite format is AVI, so you would have to convert your files to either WMV or Mp4...

There are quite a lot of people who have misconception that .AVI is a format. It's actually a container which contains the audio and video codecs. .AVI stands for Audio and Video Interleaved. The actual codec can be mp4, mpeg4, h.264, flash.. etc.

Cool How I do it

Dude go to any torrent site and type in zune. I will pop up all the different movies they have already in zune format. Thats the best advice I can give.
