Default To buy or not to buy.....experiences so far??

Hi! I'm new to the forum and had a question. I've been debating weather to get a Zune or Ipod for some time now....so far I'm siding with the Zune. I was wondering if you guys had any positive/ negative experiences that would help me make my decision? Thanks!!

If you decide to buy a Zune I would recommend getting the software installed.

I would check out this.

Me personally, I think it would depend on how big your library is.

Thanks for your replies, I really appreciate it! I was thinking of getting a 30GB, seeing how 80 is so much space, 30 seems like a reasonable choice. (I want the red, yet in the pics it looks a deep pink....any input anyone??)I was thinking of mostly using it for music and movies, not so much for pics. I also noticed each Zune color is a different price...do you guys know if the protective color skins would let you sort of change Zune colors? thanx!!

There are protective skins at www.decalgirl.com for multiple colors. In all honesty, I'd prefer a Zune 80 (although I do not own one) for future features with the ZunePad and games. Also, it's much slimmer and has a bigger screen.

Ooooh those skins are really nice, yet they don't seem very protective....it seems like a thin layer of vinyl you past eonto your Zune....I was wondering if getting the cheapest Zune and buying a protective skin in a desired color would be a good idea...any thoughts??

The red Zune is barely red at all. On the box, it looks like a nice deep, dark red, but when you open it, it's like... '80s car that's been left in the sun-red, like a really pale, faded, nasty color. I've got a nice leather case for mine though, so I hardly look at the ugly red. Had I known it was going to be that shade of red, I'd have gotten the black instead.

sorry to hear that you don't like the color of your Zune. But, it's cool to hear that you did get one in the end.

Welcome to the social!!

Hey manic. Quick thing.. if your going to get the 30 gig remember that although it does have the new firmware, the device is still pretty big, the battery life isn't as good, and it doesn't have the touch pad. I don't know if those are important to you, but take it into consideration.

Well Myself I did alot of homework before buying a Zune. My kids have crap pods err Ipods and Iam so thankful that I did not follow them. The Zune is so much easier to manage and very user friendly. So my opinion is yea grab one. I have a 30 gig and love it plenty. Also I suggest that you buy one at Target. For an extra $19.00 bucks you get a three year warranty ! And basicly in there warranty it states if they cant fix it they replace it! No deductable! So grab one and have fun!

Zune definitely.
I would get a red 30g
I have a red 80g and it's way too much space.
Just get a zuneone.net crystal case that is clear and you'll be good.
