Software won't recognize Zune 30 anymore

I don't know if this should go here or in the software help forum. Before I got my Zune 80 my Zune 30 would sync just fine. After I got my 80 my software ceased to recognize my 30 unless I synced wireless. I had to fix some retagging problems so I renamed those two folders in the software so it would just rebuild the music library. Now, it still wont recognize my 30 through the cable and it wont do it through the wireless either. This is a problem since I still haven't synced everything that is on my 30 to my computer to sync to my 80. I only did like 900 of my 1400 songs, and none of my videos.

Yes. One thing that I forgot to mention is that after it rebuilt my library it didn't have any Zunes assigned to it. So, my 80 was the first one and my 30 wasn't recognized.

I have not. When I connect my 30 I get a pop up in windows xp asking if I want to connect to a usb 2.0 port/find one to connect to. All my 30 does is charge, and won't connect to the software.

if i was you i would reinstall the software, if that doesnt work then try to reset your Zune 30

try using the forget this device first, then if it doesn't work, uninstall the zune software..

OK, I did that. Didn't work. It just made another problem. Now I have triples of Shine On You Crazy Diamond (both songs) and Have A Cigar from the Pink Floyd album Wish You Were Here. I deleted the original album from my 80, now I have doubles of those three songs, and they wont show up in the software. They do contribute to the number of songs though...

Attempt a Hard Reset and then Remove all your Music from the Software then Resync.

Resync everything because you will if you do a Hard Reset.

Do you mean the software or my Zune 80? On your first post you said to delete everything from the software, which means my computer. I would have to reverse sync every thing from my 80 to my PC, which wont fix my problem. And, it does nothing to help my Zune 30 problem.

Then again I'm being stupid. Update Windows like Jon said or Uninstall and Reinstall the USB Ports.

How do I re-install the USB ports? I don't know how that will fix it. My PC will be recognize my Zune and charge it, but my software won't sync with it.

Same thing actually happened with my cousin. In the end he got a Free Zune from it @_@
