the zune will not work with the 360 for music in game play because of the drm on the songs. You have to stream from your computer instead which really sucks. i liked that i could just connect my ipod and listen but oh well ill live.

i disagree with that, i never got to hook my zune up to my 360, but i streamed my music from my PC to my 360 and it played all the songs that i downloaded....

The only time it did not play song is when the game did not support song being play while in game play

it will work if you stream them just not directly from the zune.

I've been able to play music through it, but I haven't DLed anything from Marketplace and tried.

The DRM music works great on my 360, in fact the 360 remote control even works for skipping tracks, pausing, everything, in game, without bringing up any menus.

(Note: The remote is interfacing with the 360, not the Zune, however it uses the music streaming off the Zune.)

with me it starts the song plays it for a while and then disconnects itself from the 360 >

Are you on LIVE? (asking to make sure you have all the latest LIVE updates)

If you are, and you are firmware 1.2 on your Zune, I would call MS and see if they can offer any assistance. I certainly haven't had any problem like that and I basically live on my Zune and 360.
