Question before i buy

I don't understand what it means when it says the zune will only play protected zune content. Does this mean that videos such as misc show and movies and things wont be able to play on the zune? Or if i have a movie i ripped from a dvd or downloaded( not to say that i do) that it won't be able to play? is it the same with songs? Will everything thats on my zune have to be bought again from microsoft?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question

Any media files (if in the right format), will play. So songs downloaded from Limewire will be able to be played, movies downloaded from torrents, etc. You just can't play songs downloaded from like iTunes.

You don't HAVE to buy anything from the Marketplace(which is like the iTunes for the zune)
