Help pls: Error code C00D11CD

I have a problem with updating my software from

current device software version: 1.4(485) to
required update: 2.2 (1040)

it says i must update device before i can use it so i click 'install' but a dialog box comes up and says:

Error summary
An unknown error has occurred
Error code C00D11CD

Help pls thanks in advance
