Hi I bought a zune and everything was working well, really happy with it.
Today I went to it and it was dead, so i Recharged it and reset the zune, came up and is recognised by PC and started synchronising... However if I disconnect the zune from the pc it goes off and I press back and the zune logo comes up then the screen goes dead again. If I put back on charge it works. Does this sound like a battery issue? i hope so? ;-( (its running 1.4 firmware) Thanks Jas ______ |

Ha, yeah, search is pretty much worthless on stuff like this.
Definitely sounds like a battery problem. Doesn't seem to be holding a charge. Unfortunately, it might have to be replaced. Replacement batteries can be bought off eBay and you can even spring for ones that hold more charge then the factory default if you want to go all out. Or, a safer, better method would be to send that sucker into Microsoft and if you're under the warranty still, it'll be free.

Since you're opening it up already, you might just check and see if the battery connections are nice and snug. I think I remember that being problems for a few in the past.
