Default Help!

My son has had a Zune for about 9 months, and everything works great. I bought one, and am having problems. When hook it to the compuer, I get the filmware update box, searching fro updates. Then it finds them, and installs them on the new Zune. I can tell by the action of the Zune screen. But then, I get the message, "could not update device, try again later. When I close the box, the software then removes the updates from the new Zune, and removes the icon from the left hand navigation bar. I've updated the software, but don't know what's going on? Any help would be greatly apprciated! Thanks

I've never heard of the software removing updates. If you wouldn't mind, would you pick up you zune and go to
Setting -> About -> Zune and see what version it says it is?
Currently, zunes are running 1.4 and I think software version is 1.3

Also, since I assume you're both running your zunes on the same computer, I'd recommend grabbing the guest hack. Connecting as guest may cause problems.
