zHD Help with the Zune HD.

Unhappy Zune HD wont sync with software! Help!
I purchased a zune HD a couple days ago, tried syncing it to the zune software, but it doesnt detect it, I know its not the zune because my computer detects it. I tried everything possible to get it to work: Uninstalling the software, then re-installing it, using different usb ports, etc. After hours of failed attempts I called Microsoft support and for about half n hour I tried everything they had to fix the issue, but to no avail. They said they would call me back today with more solutions, but they didnt(no surprise).

Can anyone please help me anyway they can? I am running windows Xp if that helps, and its a 16GB zune hd.

I know I am not the only one with this problem and it is really frustrating because the device itself is really cool, but I cant use it

wow....from the looks of things the zune hd doesnt work well with winidows xp ..why would you expect a next gen device to work with a 2gen old OS ...


i STRONGLY recommend upgrading to windows vista or window 7 before you buy a zune HD ...i dont know why they would include xp in the "supported" OS list ..but then again they put windows 7 as the RECOMMENDED OS .


SO in summary .. IF YOU WANT A ZUNE HD UPGRADE TO WINDOWS VISTA OR LATER OPERATING SYSTEM ..(someone should sticky this)

thnx guy ill try that and get back to this

Anybody else have different solutions, getting a new Operating system is a pain in the ass.

Sorry about the trouble man, I know it sux when stuff doesnt work how its supposed to... But Windows 7 would be my opinion too, many people have complained about xp and zhd... Other than reinstalling drivers and software thats about all you can do

Yea it sux really bad, i think i mite uprgrade to windows 7 or vista just because the device is so awesome
