Just bought my Zune 8GB yesterday, pretty slick.
I've been looking on these threads for how to simply drop and drag files to it, but I haven't been able to do it successfully. If someone could give a link to a tutorial, that'd be great. I saw the whole regedit bit, but I'm not exactly sure how to use it. I don't know which particular part of the .../.../.../usb/ to edit, or more specifically, how to find which number is the one specific to my zune. Any help with this is greatly appreciated... If I can't do this, I may think about returning it and getting something else. Thanks guys. [and girls....maybe...] ![]() |

I've gotten the drop and drag to work using the 'sync' glitch, but I can't find a reliable way to organize my data on the thing.
Most of my .mp3 music has omitted or otherwise incorrect ID tags, so they don't show up properly. I usually just organize in folders by artists, then have playlists at the top of the folder. The playlists are .m3u, but I don't think it would be to difficult to change them to something else. Is there a way to make playlists outside of the Zune Media software, then import them with the sync glitch? If there is, I think that would solve a lot of my problems. Thanks guys. ![]() Sorry, I wouldn't know how to help you. I'm having a hell of a time myself trying to get things titled correctly. It seems months of titling, classifying, editing, was all wasted when I moved my Zune operations to my new laptop =/

Welcome to the forums. And sadly I don't know anything about drag and drop either. I just use the zune software and mp3tag. I've had no problems thus far.

Welcome to ZuneBoards!! Heres your free (fake) zewbie zune.
Also about your question, as far as I know. The only way to drag and drop lets say a song on to your zune is through the software. Like you'll need to add your songs to your collection on the zune software. Then sync your zune to your computer. Then you can click on a song in the software and drag and drop it on the zune icon on the bottom left corner of the software. Then it will be added/sync to your zune. Hope this helped. Happy Zune-ing! ![]()

Welcome to ZuneBoards. You're one of the few people I know with a small flash Zune.

Hey everybody, thanks for all your help. These boards are great. I think I've gotten it down with the playlists and all.
I think I'll be enjoying this Zune as much as I enjoyed my 8GB Zen Microphoto... but now I've got some video capabilities... hurray for illegally downloaded Futurama right? Thanks again. ![]() |
