Well, I'm currently in the market for a PMP and was seriously considering the Cowon A3. It's freaking awesome, does everything I could ever want but damn, it is expensive.

Luckily, some friends over at Legit Reviews suggested the Zune which I hadn't REALLY looked at (made an assumption and we all know what those can do) and one referred me here. I've been doing some reading and it seems you guys really know what you're doing here so I figured it's time for me to join. When I first started looking at Zunes, all I saw was another iPod (decent player locked to crappy software) but you've all changed my mind.

The only thing that still makes me sad is no FLAC (new firmware?) and no EQ (H/W limitation, darn). It seems you guys have fixed all of Microsoft's other mistakes. Anyway, glad to be here.

The Zune 30, although bigger and has less space than the 80, has an equalizer. It is a VERY durable MP3 player, and has a good community. Also, it doesn't cost as much as an iPod.

Get the Zune, you won't be sorry you got it if you get it.

Welcome! nice to see you here. I love my 30, but I DO want an 80. Only thing is, the 80 doesn't have the equalizer. other than that, I need the space of the 80 and I would love the touch pad, but the 30 is still amazing.

Yeah, I heard about that, hopefully someone finds a decent exploit with the dev pack. I'm big into hacking my stuff, I've got a SLVR that is completely hacked (didn't brick it once, yay me!

Yeah their technically points that you can use to get free stuff from zunecentive, like cases, zune skins, a travel case, headphones, and even a zune. But yeah

to ZB, hope you enjoy our little zune community and forums, and good/smart choice on getting a zune. I suggest you get the 80 out of all the zune's out their at the moment, it's amazing and well worth it!
