Default Hi, I'm Tyster

I Wooted a zune. A couple weeks ago, I got a Meizu Mini Player by Dane-elec. It was awesome, except for the fact that the screen was messed up. it seemed that the center of the field of view was offset to one side by about 45 degrees. I had to turn it a little to see the screen at its full brightness. Aside form that, I loved the thing to death. I could customize the background, the menu color, the selection bar's color, it had a billion sound enhancement features, and, best of all, it used FLASH. Newegg even sent me free universal MP3 "sock". However, the screen made me send it back to exchange. However, they ran out or it was discontinued, which is when I noticed the zune on woot. So, that's my story.

Here are some things the zune doesn't have, that I enjoyed in other players:

-Speed up or slow down the music being played. This was available on an older Sandisk music player. It was fun, but i guess not enough people agreed with me, since it ceased to exist in the later models.

-Organize songs by directory. Call me an old dog (you young whippersnapper), but I have a system. On one of my hard drives, I have all my music catagorized how I want into directories. I generally have a CD ripped into its own folder. Then, I make new folders that have copies of songs I like, such as "Wierd Al Favs", "Cool LOTR", "Misc", etc. This can still be accomplished with the zune, but I need to modify the "album" data for each song to match its folder name and then sort by album.

-The ability to use the media player as a storage device. I took this for granted with all the previous players I had. iPod freaks would say, "You mean you can simply plug your player into any computer and it will automatically let you use it just like a memory stick?" "DUH!" I'd also update my music library on my player by simply formatting everything on it and copying over the folders from my "sounds" directory that I wanted for the next day/week/month, while I play games or work on homework.

I think that's about all I have to say. If you're still reading this, then, uh..... why ARE you still reading this?

Thanks for the warm welcome and hack links. Now, if I can just get my zune cable back... left it at my bro's house (-:
