Question Change format on Zune 30

I installed a JVC reciever in my truck and it has usb inputs but does not recognize the format my Zune uses for music playback. Is there a way to format my zune so it shows as a mp3 player? The receiver recognizes ipod products and formats.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It is a real shame that products are being produced to only cater to pod heads when the people i have known with ipods are always having issues and i have never had a problem with my Zune 30.

thanks for answering-is it possible to create an app that can side step this issue?

no. Simple as it gets. The iPod's allow the software to access the files on it, including the music files, meaning the iPod is not actually playing them, just acting like an external HD for the stereo. The Zune simply does not allow for this, and until it does, you will not be able to, no matter what you try. The typical reciever has an audio jack input. does yours not?

Thanks Bman22, my deck has an auxillary input on the face that i am using now and it also has rca inputs in the rear. I seem to get noise bleed and the out put from my zune seems to be suppressed. I have it powered from the ciggarette lighter with a usb addapter, i am going to try that and see if it improves playback quality.

Again, thanks for the help and explaination. It is good to know that the board here is very active in getting people answers to thier problems quickly even if there is not a solution.
