Help! Water damage.

My Zune was splashed with water recently. By the way, it is a white 30gig, kinda oldish. All the buttons work except the up, down, and center buttons. The screen, left and right, and the back and play/pause buttons still work, though.
Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Well, what you need to do now is (i'm being absolutely serious here) put your zune into a jar of rice for a few days.

I'm still new at this website. I took it apart and looked around but i couldn't see any damage. I don't know where to send it in because Microsoft won't repair it.

Do what Red says. It's a proven solution, actually. It absorbs the water from the Zune.

My bad guys, I thought I had posted it before. I left it in rice for a week but it still doesn't work.

Oh... in that case... if you want to try it... you could try cleaning the connection areas on the buttons that don't work with rubbing alcohol. That may get it to work again.

If you don't want to try that, take a look at rapid repair's site.

No problem. Make sure you are using rubbing alcohol though, as it doesn't cause electronics to short out.
