Microsoft Visual C# Express 2008

okay
i've been trying to install this program for some time now (approx. 30 min)
and the only progress i've made was downloading all 8 items and installed only half of the first item (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1)
anyone know what's wrong???

You should try to install .NET framework 3.5 before you attempt to install the suite itself.
That should fix your problem.
If you need a link, google .NET framework 3.5 download.

If it's installing the .NET framework as a part of that install (instead of doing it ahead of time, as SW suggested), it's going to take a long time. Just expect it and live with it, it'll get done eventually.

From what he said, I think there was an error during install.
But you never know.

Well, mine took ages when I installed, and I think that .NET was the biggest choke point.

actually
i manually installed .NET and it actually only took about 3 minutes and the vc# dl is going smoothly
