Zewbie in need of assistance !

Recently i bought a Zune 4gb , can somebody share some insight on how everyone is using their Zune ?

First off , i can't find the resume function...i turn off my zune (hold the play button for 2 sec.) whenever i want to listen to music again it starts off at the beginning of the playlist.

Second , how do you turn off the zune completely ? It seems to be a really stupid question but after i turn off my zune , it gets turned back on whenever i touch the directional pad. Is using the hold lock the only way ?

Third , the battery is always empty if i leave my zune turned off for over a week (does that mean i'm not shutting it down correctly ?)

Appreciate all the help i can get
