How to modify Genre's in your soon and other categories.

Hi everyone, just bought my Zune a few months back and so far so good.

I like the zune and more and more I'm discovering new things about it so I am learning a lot, which is always a great thing.

for anyone having doubts, give it a chance and go online and you'll discover what your zune can and can't do and decide for yourself if this device is right for you. don't decide simply because other people have had different experiences - figure it out for yourself. (I DO NOT WORK or am I affiliated in ANY way with microsoft)

now, I've been trying to find out why most of the songs I have synced to my zune device get automatically placed into the wrong genre.

for example, I'll have a song by the clash placed into the "rock" section, but I actually want to modify it and place it under "punk" '

I was almost getting ready to give up on this device, but I kept looking.

I found my answer, here on cnet. I have read other people coming up with hacks etc, but here is a simpler way to organize your music categories.

The Zune software is uselss at organising media. The easiest way to edit your library is to use MP3Tag and also to disable automatic media updating.
