Problem with Zune recognizing Chinese characters

Hi guys,

I am the few lucky ones who got a Zune 80 in China from a friend who went to the States for a biz trip.

Zune is great, cool and wonderful except for one thing: I have problem with it recognizing Chinese characters on the player itself.

Can anyone please help? I am with 2.3 and is there any hack that can help recognize Chinese characters?

Any help would be grealy appreciated!!!

can he downgrade with a zune 80? i thought that was only for the 30

Asian/Chinese chars. are not on the Zune 80, only the 30(with the hack).

What you could do is to make the song title into a .jpg file and use it as your album art. This way, you'll be able to identify your chinese songs.

You can always use Ping-Yin

@Jack, that won't really work when you're looking for a song..

Translating it is making it actually english. I should know, I'm chinese :p

anyway, example.

Chinese: 我
PingYing: Wo
English: Me

another example.

Chinese: 我爱你
PingYing: Wo ai ni.
English: I love you.

weirdo.. the PingYing translation doesn't sound so right though-.- lolz.... well to me.. and yea theres no way you can have chinese character the zune 80 "yet"

BTW, your translation is inconsistant. 1st you said 我 = Me. The 2nd time, you said 我 = I as in I Love You.

LOL We should start a Chinese zune owner's club sometime @ zuneboards.

PingYing translation to English sounds:

b= beh
c= ?
d= deh
e= eeeh
f= silent f (F*** without pronouncing the last 3 letters)
g=geh
h=heh
i= ewww with out the U sound
j= jeee
k= keh
l= leh
m= meh
n= neh
o= oh?
p=peh
q= keh
r= change but without the ching sound
s= ssssss
t= teh
u=?
v= vehiecal but without the v and call sound
W=Wossie but without the si sound
X= ?
y= yeeee
z= the pronounciation of Z (canadian pronounciation) but without the D sound.
