Alright so I need to format my laptop, so I want to put all of my zune stuff onto my other desktop computer.
Can I sync all of my stuff onto my zune, then just plug it into my desktop computer. Will that then let me fully sync (I know with my old ipod this was next to impossible to do) my whole library to my desktop without a hickup? Thanks guys and gals! |

It should (as far as my knowledge goes).

In theory, yes.
You could also copy over the contents of your Application Data Folder Zune contents so that your library data is copied over as well. Still the best option is to use a PC to PC connector or transfer it over the home network so that way you know its copied over from the source.

dammit GOW! One day too late!
So I did it last night. I just plugged it in and then added media from my zune to my computer just by drag and dropping in the ZUNE program. It went fine, except a lot of my album art work and re-naming got screwed up. It was strange. I got everything working it just took a long long time. So next time I need to copy over all settings, including the zune folder library stuff like GOW said |

Alright so I'm going to be doing this again. The zune software is going onto my Vista Media Center Rig.
Any other suggestions? I am going to be trying what GOW suggested and copying over all the application data folder (including the freaking album art, re-doing that again will make me go insane). I will let you know how it goes. |

Yea....so that didn't work. No album art came over when songs were transfered, even with moving the app data into the correct area (i guess).
So as far as I can tell there is no way to get all of your songs to another computer and keep all of your album art/hard work. Sucks bigtime! I am going to cry myself to bed now! Someone cheer me up. |
