why is zuneboards sooo slooww

its takes forever to load this page, while I can load pages that use more memory way faster than ZB

they need a better server or something...

when i post or read topics the speed is pretty slow, but when i first try to connect to zuneboards, its very slow

It used to work vesy fast for me but lately its been really slow, especially when I first load it.

CG hasn't moved the server to a "cheaper" server, don't try to start conspiracies. (If they did, we all would have noticed downtime, weird changes that always happen when we move servers, etc.)

Sometimes, a simple server restart/reboot/apachereboot is all it needs to fix the lag. If it continues though, it is probably smart to pinpoint the problem. I'm not sure what's going on, since I no longer have root access to the server.

It is painfulyl slow these days. WTF? If I got the sql information, couldn't I hypothetically create a mirror for this website. It would still strain the sql server, but it wouldn't strain the php/apache server.

This owuld be an idea. If anybody wants to push this, let me know.

I contacted Sanjay on this, and he told me he will be contacting their IT team. Hopefully, they can look into this massive lag.

Hey guys- sorry about this. I just found out this evening and I will have it fixed first thing in the morning. Seems like we are having issues with the ad server which we will fix. Also, we are moving this site to our own faster servers over the next week....should be blazing fast then!
