Beloved ShoutBox! Where are thee?

I was talking in the shoutbox and didn't say anything wrong in any way and none of the messages were sending. I refreshed and it said I had no access to it. :confused: What happened?

hmm... well I have no pm's right now so I guess not... but what happened? It said I have no access all of a sudden to the shoutbox and it no longer shows up on the page. Help? (thanks for the quick reply by the way)

You were not banned.

CHeck your usercp, under user options I believe. Make sure that the shoutbox isn't set to off, some one else reported that happening to them

hmm... well I didn't find anything in options, however, i had just joined a group. I left the group and the shoutbox came back... I think it's a bug... perhaps something to look into. Just thought that info might help?

edit: if it ws the religion group, try joining it again

From the options view and the front page of the forum it looks like the shout box has been removed /disabled. I am guess this is due to increased site traffic and the amount of resources that it taxes from being active. Ah, well, time to increase the ol' post count.

Yes, I just noticed when I switched the CSS style to Centura and went to options. Somehow the chatbox got disabled...ah well it got me to post more.

Heh, the same thing just happened to me. It appears that for some reason, the settings are getting randomly messed up and the shoutbox gets turned off. The second weird part is under the User control panel, edit options, the shoutbox should have a section near the bottom where you can renable it but the skins other than centura don't have it.

So if you all of the sudden lose the shoutbox, first set your style to centura by the box in the bottom left of the screen, go to user control panel, edit options, scroll down to MGC Chatbox options, and make sure the shoutbox is turned ot on. If not, select on and scroll down and hit save. After that the sb should reappear and you can change skins back again.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work just to get a sb. And the zb2 has that option.

It could be just a zB 3.0 skin problem as it is not visible when I use the zB 3.0 skin.

I couldn't find any options to turn it on like someone suggested...
I love the ShoutBox, and want it back!
