psp or ds?

ive been considering a hand held game system, and ive noticed a few things about the ds and the psp i liked.

i was wondering which you prefer and why.

I have them both you really can't judge them next to each other each has different aspects If you want a system that you can run roms on and homebrew get a psp if you want a new type of system get the ds.

I've also had both. It all depends on what you like. DS ONLY has games meant for younger ages like mario and sonic, that's why the rating on DS games are never over "E" or something. I think I've seen one "M" game for DS and maybe three "T". PSP has more mature games like GTA, Tekken, Fight Night, games of that category. DS has a two screens, one being touchscreen which I can imagine would be cool while browsing the web (sold seperatly and also not compatible with the first gen model). PSP has a bigger screen and can play movies, music, view photos, and has a built in web browser. And you can also hack the PSP to play SNES, NES, PS1, GB, GBC, GBA, and even downloaded games. So you don't even have to buy games, just buy a big memory stick. It depends on what FW you have out of the box though. I know you can hack the DS to do something but I don't know what. I never hacked my DS anyway I hacked my PSP. Personally I'd pick the PSP all because you can hack it to your own personal liking and being able to play all those types of games. Playing games that you don't have to buy are great. And it may affect your decision on whether you have a PS3 or a Wii.

DS, all the way... PSPs have absolutely no games worth buying, it's more expensive, and UMD discs are dieing. Soon you'll be stuck with that same copy of "Family Guy" that you've seen 32 times, and the 7 Final Fantasy games that came out for it this year.

They both really don't have any games worth buying anymore. That's why I got rid of both.

Even though I hardly use my PSP, the DS is worse. I have tried to use the DS and it works poorly and it has even less games than the PSP. At least the PSP has some games that look good (even if I haven't bothered buying them)

Yea, I've played GTA, Tekken, Naruto (iso), Mortal Kombat (iso), Bleach (iso), all on my PSP. On my DS super mairo 64 ds. That's it, after that I got bored.

i like mario and sonic really... but if you can hack the psp to play these games, i think thatd be a nice factor.

CameleonMK it doesn't what firmware you get as of today the Noobz Team released pandoras battery which makes you able to do anything that anyfirmware can do.

True, there is a downgrader for every FW up to 3.50.

You do know that the firmware is up to 3.52 and you flash a battary to downgrade anything to 1.50. Luckily for me I got my psp when 1.50 was on it and haven't changed it since except custom firmware of course.

Its a good thing to have for car trips and when I go on the flight to hawaii such a long plane trip.

There is no excuse to buy a PSP. Its complete and utter crap. 0 games, and it's not like you can't homebrew a DS. Seriously, the PSP is dead. UMD Movies? What a joke that turned out to be...

If it had some fun online Naruto fighting games, I'd actually buy a PSP... I kinda want a PSP, but I can't justify buying it because I think it looks pretty... It just needs 3 or 4 solid games and some internet TV, and I'm there.
