i've got a ps3 already, so last thing i need is fanboys trying to sway me thataway. so; my little brother's wii broke and now my dad wants to replace it with an xbox? yea or nay?

Come to the realization the the PC's multiplayer gaming community is so much superior and get a gaming rig. Former 360 owner here, (and present, but don't use it much).
TF2 > MW2, Halo 3, etc. It's a great game.
My friend owns both an xbox and a nice gaming pc he built and he honestly only uses the xbox (when it's not red-ringed and in the shop) to play rock band 2. In all other aspects, the pc is far superior, especially for FPS games such as Team Fortress 2, which is without a doubt one of the best first person shooter experiences you can get on any system anywhere. Additionally, I'm not going to lie but the xbox 360 is (at least construction-wise) a piece of crap. Every single person I know has sent theirs in for red ring repair/replacement at least 1-2 times.

I'd say no to an XBox, have one and there are no good games for it. I'd suggest an XBox 360 instead. Or if you actually like gaming, find a good 500 USD gaming PC guide and do it.
do you have alot of friends on xbox? does he? do you have alot of buddies on ps3? there the both the same unless your friends are playing it then it becomes a social thing, and it's worth it.
dude get it asap ..that new update alone make it worth it ..especially last fm..at first i though i wasn't going to use it much but honestly its like the zune pass except it has these 10 second ads after every 5 -7 or so songs. not to mention facebook..(i hate twitter) but its there if you want it/use it
