I just got an Xbox 360 and I have a question!!!!

Do they charge you for downloading things like maps and game demos on xbox live?

And if they do... how much?

is it by size?

Demos are free. for maps it all depends. like halo 3 has 1 free map pack,was at a fee at first but after awhile,5-10months,it became free. now they have a legendary map pack for 800mp.call of duty 4 has a map pack,and i believe its 800mp also. if you dont have it and want it,buy the game of the year edition,get the maps free.gears of war has all their maps free now,so thats good. As for size they come in,varies.500mb+. just go onto the marketplace and have a look around,some cool stuff

yeai just got a 360 on saturday a used one from gamestop all together i got it for $254 and i got halo 3 and the 20gig hdd gonna change that to a 40 gig tomarrow and live im on month to month guy right now

its so much fun on live, and you dont really need a big hard drive unless your going to put movies on it. you can just connect your pc to your xbox and watch/listen that way.

I've had my 360 since a little bit after launch. RRoD one time (which took 9 weeks)
Right now I dont have internet at my house, so I cant do too much with it. GTA IV and RockBand (1 and 2) are really the only things that keep me playing it for now.

There really are not many games that can survive without XBL. CoD4 is decent offline, but online it is still amazing. I am a 55 2nd prestige (the one with the silver and gold spikes)

true dont need it butr i have extra sata 40 gig hdd laying around and yea live is fun but i need ppl to play i hae doing that matching thing on live
