Questions about transfering from 20gb hdd to 120gb hdd(Xbox 360)

Ok in a month or so,im going to be purchasing a 120gb hdd for my pro xbox that came with 20gb hdd.I am doing this because of the new update thats coming.I want to save all my games to my hdd .So i have some questions after reading this article...

How To Transfer Data from 20GB HDD To 120GB HDD

1.
"Also, since Xbox Live Arcade games and video marketplace items are tied to your gamertag and the first system they were used on and not the hard drive, to use these items on the new system you will have to be connected to Xbox Live or they won't work."

--does this mean i wont have to be on live,since it is still my original system,just different hdd?because im going to be mad if i have to be on live to use my rockband download content songs.

2.
How much can i sell my 20gb for?i wont be needing it since i have the 120gb,or should i keep it?if so,what can i do with it?

You might have to be on live when you are transferring.
I'd suggest keeping your HDD as well.
Who would want to buy it anyway?
(gamestop, sell it to them for like $20)

Yeah if they offer less than 50,ima keep it and maybe find a way to mod it :P

And at darrens post,im not getting that form.Is that for like,if i send microsoft both my hdds for them to do it,and ill be able to play my content without having live on?

I was talking about when you do the transfer but whatever.

haha darren i got all of that,but my main question is that if i switch to a new hdd,will i be able to play my rockband content offline?i read that if you switch consoles,that you have to be on xbl to use your downloadable content(but with that liscence transfer dealy think that fixes that issue)and if that is so,im on the same console,so i dont have to worry,right?

haha no,in a month or so im going to be upgrading to a 120gb because of the new updates.I want to save my games to my harddrive so speeds up load times.each game is about 7gb,well gta4 was 6.8gb.

Come on...it's not that hard..

You can still use it offline as long as it's the same console you purchased them on.
