Well, I was begining to realize that, but this really pushed me over the top. Just the begining of the E3 when "cammy" attempted to convince me that snowboarding was too dangerous, and I should buy a white board from nintendo to lean back and fourth and pretend i'm snowboarding...I stopped wtachign shortly after that.

I love the games that I do have for the Wii and it's quite fun when the software is well thought-out, but what Nintendo displayed today was laughable. Ridiculous. They've realized that they can get so much more money by milking casual users, rather than making less by appealing to the 'hardcore' crowd. That's why we had a soccermom/executive on stage sharing stories about her bad wrist

. Ugh *facepalm. A lot of 'news' was delievered after-the-fact in an interview by IGN, but nothing was really announced that a semi-intelligent person would not have known anyway.

Yeah, and the sad part is that that Reggie Fils-Aime guy said that E3 would satisfy the "hardcore" gamers a while back. It looks like my Nintendo Wii will continue to collect dust.

Im ashamed to admit I used to be somewhat of a Nintendo fanboy at one point. I would relentlessly argue others into my opinion of why the nintendo wii would be the king console.....
But, that was only when they were teasing the system, back when they called it the nintendo revolution. Ever since those days, every choice has been a mistake, at least to a hardcore gamers perspective. Theyve gone completely casual.

but, thats what makes the money I suppose, so we cant exactly blame them...

They haven't gone completely casual. They've released several of their key franchises already. It just sucks that we won't have anything for the rest of the year other than Animal Crossing.

They redeemed themselves a bit afterwards with the announcement of Pikmin 3 in a private conference, but still, I think this was their worst E3 ever.

Then again, Iwata did say that they're no longer going to be revealing 'core' games at E3, so if he wasn't kidding, I guess that would explain why it was so horribly bad.

Yeah, I was going to post that interview, but I can't find the link. It explained a lot for me, so I'm not as upset with them anymore.

I do not see how Nintendo is joke, simply because they do not make many games for "hardcore" gamers anymore. It is just too bad for you if you do not like casual games. Many people do.

Wii Music is a joke, however. That is really just pathetic.

its true that they havent gone COMPLETELY casual, but its obvious that thats their main priority.

Have you seen the sales on the nintendo wii? its far outsells the xbox 360 and the ps3. Infact, back when I actually wanted one, it was completely sold out, and as far as Ive heard, its still outsold. But when you look at the sales of most of the quality games for the wii, they are very low. Its become obvious to nintendo thats its their wii peripherals that are selling like mad. and so thats why at this e3, we saw all these different accessories for the wii, and not so much games.

That's not what I've heard. As far as I know, their first party games are doing excellent in sales. Games like Wii Fit and Wii Play are just doing well because of the untapped market that they're appealing to. I don't look at sales too often, though.
