your not going to hack it are you? if not, then 256mb-1gb is enough for game saves lol.. for movies 2gb-4gb. for CFW/hacked psp 4gb-8gb is the best choice..

a 2gb will be the minimum if you are gonna hack it(which is HIGHLY suggested. soooooo much more fun) unless that hacking doesn't involve pirated or personally backed up games(running of the ms is faster and better on batt life) then 1gb would be fine.

I would hold off if I were you, as the PSP is getting sort of old.

It might be 'old,' but it sure is fun to use if you put custom firmware on it. If you're not going to put custom firmware on it, any memory stick under 1GB is fine (depending if you want to put music on it). If you are going to put CFW, a 4 or 8gb is recommended, but I get along with a 1gb memory stick.

can someone link me a video/webpage about cusom firmware etc?
o and about it getting old, i agree and disagree. it is old, but that dosen't mean anything new is coming for a while. why? 1. Its best game so far, (or at least one of them,) just came out. (GoW:CoO) 2. It just released a new model (ver 2000 (slim)) 3. When someone releases a new console, we hear about it AT LEAST a year before its released. so im good for now.

www.psp-hacks.com is the best site for psp modding, hands down.
im currently running CFW3.90 with 2x4gb ms pro duos and its great. if you know someone with a hacked psp, hacking yours is about as easy as running an installer to load the homebrew on the hacked psp and the firmware on any memstick, then using the hacked psp to make the service battery, putting the service battery in your psp and rebooting it with said memstick. takes about 10 mins from start to finish and will provide you with many many hours of gaming.

do you have any friends w/ psp's? because you will need a friend w/ a hacked psp, or mail your psp to someone here to have it hacked.

either use a pandora battery, pay for it or hard mod it yourself to make it cfw... highly recommend 4gb or more for CFW... lol

If you hard mod the battery (taking apart and taking a pin out) then you can't use the battery as normal anymore, if you use software, then you can uninstall it with the software also. I'm not sure if you can play games online.. I never tried it but you can go online though lol. I wouldn't really recommend going online with downloaded games most likely. if you paid for the game then sure you can go online.

the battery whenever you boot it up, it'll load to service screen. it can hard charge still but it just runs on service mode... so you can't boot normally thats all... lol

If you soft mod the battery, 1 run of an application makes it normal. and yes, you can game online. I used to w/ socom.

I believe soft mod is an application you use on a CFW PSP to make a Pandora Battery without having to Hard mod (open it up).
