Xbox 360 Disk Drive

Every time i put in a disk, it gets really loud. its gettin really annoing cause then i just have to turn up the tv and then mom gets mad. any fixes?

Hmm, well is it scratching the disc?

I dont really know unless i see the actually xbox, maybe xbox support could help you but this is a zune website of course haha

, stop putting in the disc most likely its scratching the crap outta it.

There's no way to fix this without physically modifying the console.

the dvd drive on the 360 is notorious for being loud, some more than others. the drive reads at 12x (about 7000rpm) so its going to be noisy regardless of what model you have. best thing you can do is learn to tune it out.

actually flashing the dvd drive with the ixtreme firmware allows you to choose the read speed of the drive. you still have to open your case and void your warranty but you're not physically modding the console itself.

the only fixes I've read about involve putting foam around the drive.

The same thing has happened to me. I put in a game, and it got REALLY loud when the disc was spinning. I just put my Xbox 360 back on the horizontal side, and just ignored it and it eventually went away.
