Sounds like what happened to my PSP (black screen while on). I think it's bricked. Sorry.

nah a brick is just another way of calling your psp an expensive paperweight. any unrecoverable hardware or firmware failure is called a brick.

And people the guy has "DROPED" the psp so its a harware propblem, its most likely the screen cable has come loose. Its possible to open it up and just push it back in.

well sometime dropping it can mess up the software/firmware... just try replacing screen then.. if that don't work then either hard ware died or firmware bricked.

You're screwed.
Does the sound work? If it does, the screen connection probably came loose.

I REALLY doubt it is bricked...
Does it still make sounds? You may have just knocked or snapped something loose in there. I'm unfamiliar with Sony's warrenty policy.. they may repair it for a nice fee.

Yeah it sounds like your screen connection came loose. Like others said, play around with it and see if moving the buttons while it's on to see if it makes noise.
