I've gotten the RRoD twice. The first time after I called my mom a bitch and she ripped the 360 out of the wall, the 2nd time it just crapped out.

Recently, my console started crashing again, but I cleared the HDD Cache and it seems to be working OK, but my friend had this happen and it eventually completely died...

I voted "Yes, 2 times."

RRoD is not usually common if you have a cooler for your 360 though...

Still hasn't happened for me

Doesn't matter, it's his loss. The PS3 has more online play issues than the 360 does (GTA IV, R6V2, etc) and it can never even max out the Cell because other parts can't keep up with the Cell inside the PS3.

Basically, his loss. But on his defense, he might be an average game player who just wants to play a good game every now and then, and wants to have a Blu-Ray player as well and doesn't need all of this online crap like I do with my Xbox 360.

It all depends on what the guy himself wants. If he doesn't want a refurbished 360, he doesn't need to get one.

P.S. Can I have it?

I got the RRoD the night before LP:ECCE came out! My frustration is unmeasurable. So, I have to send it in to get it repaired. Even though I do not know for sure, I think that Microsoft just gives you some other console that someone else had with RRoD which can play for so long. Thus, they don't totally "fix' it. Maybe I'm just being paranoid

That's what they used to do. I'm not sure if they still do it or what, but I'd guess that they still do it.

yeah ive gotten it once and i sent it in, now i get it about every 2 days but when i restart the console it just works again

i heard that xbox 360s bought since jan 08 had better fans that would prevent the RRoD
