If you mod it, you can always pay someone to repair it. That's what I'll do once my 360 bites the dust. It'll cost $30 or so so I'm A-OK.

well your xbox is covered from RRoD for 3 years from purchase date so i dont think you have anything to worry about seeing as how even if you bought it at launch you'd still have 6 months of coverage. if you're still worried, a better idea would to buy one of those cooling stationscooling stations , not the one that plugs inline on the power supply but the actual base with its own power supply. the only way i'd add more fans internally is if i was already going to crack the case open to flash the dvd drive...

i wouldn't bother modding it.. just add more cooling supply on it... instead... modding it might be a bit of a problem sometime..

^modding doesnt cause problems as long as you stay on top of it with the newest firmwares and stealth patching...

It's not really worth it. Just try to protect your 360 with other means and maybe extend the insurance if you want, even though Microsoft has extended their warranty to cover RRoD.

^thats why i suggested getting the cooling station that i linked to in my first post.
the issue with the ones that clip on the back is that they draw power from the 360's supply... the cooling station has its own power supply as well as circulating the air more efficiently, and it provides a nice stable base if you stand your 360 up (which i do, imo it promotes airflow/cooling).
