I'm on break at work and bored as hell so I figured I would start this topic about MMO's as I plan to pick up a new one next month (Age of Conan here I come!).

  City of Heroes, City of Villains, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, Everquest, Everquest II, Everquest: Online Adventures, Final Fantasy XI: Online, Gods and Heroes, Guild Wars, Maple Story, Rappelz, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard
  
  
• 2. What MMO was your longest played? How much time overall 'just an estimate' did you put down on it.
  
  Everquest Online Adventures 2-3 Years (I still pop back in from time to time)
  
  
• 3. What popular MMO have you NEVER played?
  
  World of Warcraft, No Intention of Playing either.
  
• 4. What MMO is/was your favorite?
  
  Dungeons and Dragons Online
  
• 5. Which was your least favorite?
  
  Rappelz
  
  
• 6. Which of all the MMO's you have played do you believe is the most underrated?
  
  
  Everquest Online Adventures. The game was fun, more fun than it should have been. Considering the only competition against it on consoles was FFXI it could have prospered very well. But SOE in their infinite wisdom decided to abandon it REALLY early. Sure it wasn't as deep as the original Everquest was. But if SOE had given this game some more attention it could have become great.
  
  
• 7. What is your Favorite Genre for MMO's?
  
  
  Fantasy, Though the market is flooded and we need some more choices in other genres to lessen the staleness of the current MMO market.
  
  
• 8. What MMO (s) are you currently playing?
  
  
  Tabula Rasa, but as soon as my account time is up I am done with it for awhile. Its fun but I don't have time for two MMO's atm and next month the MMO I have been waiting on is coming out.
  
  
• 9. What MMO (s) are you looking forward to playing?
  
  
  Age of Conan and Stargate Worlds.
  
  
• 10. What MMO (s) Would you make if you had a talented team and the funding and property licenses you needed?
  
  
  Without a doubt something set in Modern or near future earth. Perhaps using the D20 Modern RPG system as a base to get started or a Mass Effect MMO (With a huge emphasis on story as well as the MMO effect)

Lineage II, Ragnarok Online, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Conquer Online, Cabal, Tabula Rasa, Phantasy Star Online, Phantasy Star Universe, Final Fantasy XI, and a ton of free mmos. Oh and my love, PlanetSide.

# 2. What MMO was your longest played? How much time overall 'just an estimate' did you put down on it.
Phantasy Star Online, Clocked in about 3,500 hours into that game.

# 3. What popular MMO have you NEVER played?
City of heroes/villians. Kind of want to try it out but dont want to fork the money over for it.

# 4. What MMO is/was your favorite?
Lineage 2, just something about it makes me love it.

# 5. Which was your least favorite?
Holic I guess.

# 6. Which of all the MMO's you have played do you believe is the most underrated?
Cant really say on that one.

# 7. What is your Favorite Genre for MMO's?
FPS, bring on the PlanetSide. Or mature Fantasy, bring on the gore!

None actually, fighting with NC Soft to steal back my stolen Guild Wars account, until then I am playing Dungeon Siege 2.

# 9. What MMO (s) are you looking forward to playing?
Warhammer 40k mmo, Too Human, Mythos, Requiem: Bloodymare and Rusty Hearts Online.

# 10. What MMO (s) Would you make if you had a talented team and the funding and property licenses you needed?
Another persistant mmofps. Was going to school to be a game programmer also. I miss planetside.

City of Heroes/Villains was a lot of fun. I go back to it every now and then. I have a capped Mastermind Necromancer on the Villains side. If you watch the site they will likely have a free trial to get people to check it out. Hell I can check out my old buddy keys that came with the CE version of the game, they are week trials I think. Unsure if they ever expired but it won't hurt to check.

RuneScape. Probly would be WoW, but i havent had it long enough

WoW. yea its popular, but most people think there sellin off their souls if they play it. but if ure not "addicted", its accually really fun

WoW: burning crusade.

WoW: lich king

i would love just to design parts of WoW. it really is a beautiful game, and itd be really cool to design the landscapes. and weapons :P

RuneScape. I figure I logged at least 7,000+ hours or more on that game.

EverQuest

# 4. Which was your most favorite?

It's a bit of a tossup. Runescape was crazy fun, but so was WoW.

# 5. Which was your least favorite?

Knight Online has some issues that need to be addressed.

Runescape. At least, before Jagex decided to crapify the game and mess with the interface. The early RS2 was one of the best games I have ever played (but it was only fun with friends).

Medieval.

None.

None at the moment.

The MMO that Runescape always wanted to be. I.E. The graphics wouldn't be so darn minimalistic, the combat system would require a more skill, and it would attract a community of not all 9 year olds.

Holy crap, someone else who played EQOA! I never thought I would see the day. I played that all the time back in the day until my account ran out unexpectedly. Sad day... I loved that game I wasted so many hours leveling was so freaking tedious. Lot's of good times, what server did you play on?

Diren's Hold (Bow Path Ranger Luthien, and Life Tap Shadow Knight Vesper). I popped in like 6 months or so ago and played my ranger for a bit. Definitely miss that game, as I said if they had dedicated more support to it that game could have gone places. The community for that game was huge at one point.

Yes all the free ones. I don't have the money or computer power to handle others.

Runescape. Probably around 900 hours.

WoW, basically all of them.

Probably Runescape. Definitely another game if I could play them.

Hard to say since I've only played 3. Probably Scions of Fate.

Runescape. Though it sucks, it was free and browser based.

Mythos and Age of Conan

World of Starcraft, a better Lord of the Rings or a MMOFPS of Gears of War.

I played on Marr's fist, I had a Magician, I forget what path, and a bow path Ranger, and a Gnome Warrior, who I also forget the path of haha. I loved exploring in that game, I always hoped I would stumble upon something hidden that would lead me to riches lol.

Yea it was a fun game. On the occasions I go back I still find little nooks and locations I never had seen before which is great. That world was actually pretty damn huge. I remember when I hit 50 me and a bunch of friends went to the Box Canyons and stripped off our armors then we ran like hell trying to get past the level 48+ Drakes with no armor. No one made it all the way through lol, but it was fun.

I also just put myself on auto run one day while in Murnf and just let my character go where he wanted and headed off to bed. When I woke up I was actually still alive amazingly enough, though I can't remember where I ended up.

Played the AoC open beta last night, lots of fun can't wait for AoC now.

I don't think I'll be getting in to any MMO's again anytime soon, maybe once things get sorted out hehe.

wow is real fun, but i think in any mmo you have to have sum1 to talk to. RuneScape- have a RL friend. WoW- guild etc.

It definitely helps at the least. Most MMO's I have played over the years I do around 60-70% solo more often than not. But man if you want to group and you can't find anyone those times it can become very boring.

I know in CoV I solo'ed 97% of the time as my class was built for that (Necro, Dark, Mastermind)

DDO is probably the only game where I grouped 90% of the time and thats also because you pretty much had to group, thats how D&D is designed. It was a lot of fun for a long time but eventually they all tend to get boring.

Here's hoping Conan or Stargate can keep my attention

I play WoW, and group almost exclusivly with RL friends...I never have fun playing with random people Ive never met, and playing with real friends keeps you from getting addicted.
