Default Brawl Anyone?

Okay, so the game finally launched in NA today . I went out and bought it around 40 at Target! There were tons of people, but plenty of copies so there were no issues (at least when I was there). The EBgames a few stores down looked pretty empty, though. Anyway, the game is amazing and I've already come to the conclusion that it's much, much better than Melee. I don't like playing with the Wii controller, but my brother says it's great. I guess it depends on the person. The Wavebird just seems perfect to me. It was kind of weird since I haven't used it in so long. So, anyone got Brawl yet? I've already unlocked a few characters. The Subspace Emissary is pretty fun and Nintendo did a great job tying in all of their top franchises without any dialogue (when will they learn). It looks great too. Particles, smoke, destructible environments/stages everything.

Nah, I don't got brawl. I couldn't do anything today with friends though... b/c everyone was playing/buying brawl. It was crap, being I don't use a wii. I looked at a gameplay video and it looked just like melee, but it's probably different when your actually playing... idk.

It's definitely similar to Melee (it is a sequel :P), but it's much better. It looks better, which is always a plus, it has new characters, and tons of new features. Plus there's online. I won't be using that, but it's great knowing it's there. It also has Sonic the Hedgehog, and I love Sonic the Hedgehog. I haven't unlocked him yet, though. You should definitely look into buying a Wii. They're not expensive and they're really fun . They have really expanded on the single-player side of the game. The Subspace Emissary is a 3D sidescroller and you pretty much travel throughout the Nintendo universe and some other weird places as the story progresses.

I'm pretty much just halo 3.... But even if I wanted to play wii, soccer season and ultimate frisbee just begun, so I won't have much extra time at all. I'll probably try it out at my friends house sometime, and see what I think.

I'm never really been into Halo. I guess I can see why people really like it. You should definitely give Brawl a try, though ; ). I played Wii Sports. It was good for introducing the controller, but it didn't make me want to go out and buy Wii Fit. I'd rent it, but I don't like renting anything

You guys shouldn't be all anything, you should get out and experience different things! I have SSBB too, it's pretty awesome.

But it saves money, if you stick to one console/game, you save a ton of money on consoles and games. halo 3 should last me until the next xbox comes out...

Oh right, how did they incorporate the whole motion sensor kinda stuff with brawl?

I believe the lack of Trogdor today is related to this game.

I know. SSBB is great. It looks better on my sdtv than my hdtv though. Less jagged edges..

And Halo is awesome RTH121. 360 > Wii, except SSBB which is awesome.

You can set the control scheme up pretty much anyway you want. You can use any controller you'd like as well.

I just reached 50% on Subspace Emissary. Nintendo did a phenomenal job tying their characters in. I mean, they tied in 35 characters with a storyline that was original and great. I didn't mind that a lot of the enemies in the worlds were not from Nintendo. You can only fight Goombas for so long. This game and Galaxy have both been added to my favorite games of all time.

I haven't played since last weekend. I'm at 50% and I'm stuck at the middle part. It's actually kind of hard . Or harder than I thought. Galaxy is amazing. Stunning visuals and a Super Mario 64 feel. My only problems with the game is that it's too linear. Super Mario Sunshine was closer to SM 64 is this aspect. In Galaxy, you pretty much know where you're going the entire game. There's not much to do other than play the game. In SM64 you could explore and find hidden secrets and whatnot. None of that seems to be incorporated into Galaxy. It's supposed to be casual friendly, but that cost it a few points in my book. Also, the observatory was a horrible idea. It pales in comparison to the castle in SM64 and to Isle Delfino in Sunshine. It's almost like Nintendo ran out of time and just threw it in. Those are just my gripes. The rest of the game is amazing. I recommend it to those who can find Wii consoles .
