This thread is all about gears of war series,from the game to the live action movie.This thread will be updated as news comes.

So to begin,heres the story behind it all.

Gears of War takes place on Sera, a planet inhabited by humans, who have warred over a phosphorescent, low-viscosity fluid known as "Imulsion". Over several decades, the Pendulum Wars took place between various human countries, and ended with the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) taking control of the planet. The war quickly came to an end on "Emergence Day", when a ravenous force known as the Locust Horde bursts from underneath major human cities using a network of underground tunnels.

The Coalition, unable to defend against the sudden attack, is routed, and the Locust Horde takes control of the majority of Sera's urban, military, and manufacturing centers within 24 hours. The COG orders any survivors to Jacinto Plateau, a safe haven from Locust underground attacks, and then uses orbital laser weapons in a scorched earth strategy to deny the Locust Horde its gains. The human survivors that could not make it become known as the "Stranded" and have to survive on their own. In the 14 years since "Emergence Day", the Locust continue to attack the fortified Jacinto Plateau and force the COG to turn to the infirm, the young, and the condemned to replace their dwindling numbers. The game begins as Marcus Fenix, a COG soldier imprisoned for abandoning his post to attempt to rescue his father, is pardoned after only four years of his sentence and freed from prison by his friend Dominic Santiago.

yeah making a movie out of it.I feel this one thou,can make a pretty good movie.I think i read somewhere new line cinema may pick it up and the people who made lord of the rings will be involved with it somehow.So i think it may turn out to be pretty good.

Not quite sure yet saab,but wouldnt that be sick if it was?i think it would.But if the people of lord of the rings do help,it can be a sick normal film.The costume designs of the creatures in lotr are really convincing and great if u ask me.

sorry to say but you're late to the party. everyone's past gears already, it's been out for over a year. try building hype for something we haven't played the **** out of already... dmc4/ninja gaiden 2/gta4/condemned 2/far cry 2

A gears of war movie would suck. There is not enough storyline yet to produce one that would be good; maybe after gow3.

Yea, hopefully the halo movie isn't animated, except for some badass CGI for the covenant.

Tho if they did it like they did FF VII Advent Children it wouldnt be too bad..

I don't know about the FF animation. As long as they cast the right actors, then I can see a GOW movie being good.
