Need help with something

Hey guys, should I get the slim PS2 or the original PS2? I have seen stuff about overheating issues and the DRE's and the laser getting busted. So I'm stuck and not sure what to do. Also, are the gamestop used consoles good buys?

Right now I have an Xbox and I love it, but my sister and I are always fighting over it, so I was thinking of heading over to gamestop and getting an used PS2. The last PS I had was a mod chipped PSone, and since then I checked out from the PS world.

Any help will be great. Thanks guys.

why not just get a 360

Alright, I'm probably getting the slim. And yea I do want a 360, but I'm going to wait until the price on the Elite goes down. Theres something just so cool about the 360 in black.

Yea slim is a good choice, and I want the elite as well. But I'd settle for a halo 3.

i dunno about the slim,when i borrowed my friends slim ps2,i could only play it for up to 4 hours,then would freese,and the ps2 was hot.so id take an hour or so break and play.guitar hero gets addicting when u dont have it haha,but maybe try n go new gen,ps2 is in its peak in dying soon

Yea, I got the slim, I really want to dig into some RPG's as well as some Final Fantasy games. I traded in some old stuff, and use a gift card I had, and I got a slim for pretty cheap, and got the one year warranty. Now I just have to figure out how to clear the parental controls someone left on here >.<

Once I start working though, my goal is to get a 360

Not gonna lie Microsoft definitely hit the nail on the head with the 360.

Get the slim since they are cheap now, just be careful not to step on it
