I need ideas for a rythym game

If you played the last game what should i do in my next game arrows that your box has to be the correct color to hit maybe both arrows coming from the side and top with two boxes to hit the notes. I just need suggestions

Would it be possible to have them hold a certain key down in order to catch the corresponding arrow?

I dont like that color idea maybe different game modes or difficulties should include that.

i did try that once it made it too guitar hero like and originality or amazing graphics is the only way to get a game noticed these days

I'd try something like by pressing a certain key the box turns a certain color, then you move the box over the arrows. That way it's not like Guitar Hero completely.

It'd only be legal if you made it yourself, bought the rights to the song, or found a song that isn't privately owned (Jingle Bells, anyone?)

My pleasure. Just finished a section on copyright in computer class at school, so I know a trick or two.

Most won't be that good though... it's the price you pay.

yeah i havent found anything yet tho chiups said once he gets something proffesionally recorded that he'll send it my way so I am super excited.

I have some of the programming done and have chosen a name LEETBEATS of course its written in symbols and I have contacted the artist nullsleep to get permission to use one of his songs.

Gah, contacting artists is a waste. Unless you're some big name hot-shot, they don't care. I sent out letters (pretty professionally written) to about 6 bands, never heard from any of them.

I contacted not popular bands however so my chances are slightly better and I already have techno i made a few years ago and one of those songs is getting it's level right now so i'll be busy with that for a while in the meantime contacting artists is a i have nothing to lose situation. Who was the person who made Bitches Hos and Cadillacs maybe they can make me a song
