Would you like to take part in weekly gaming sessions hosted by zB?

Earlier tonight Gow, Gregory, and I were thinking it'd be a fun thing for our members if every week we hosted an hour to two hour gaming session that would change each week.

What we were thinking is that we'd have 2 sessions a week. a 360 session over Xbox Live, and a PC session over the internet like you would normally.

So, what each member would do is join in on these sessions at these certain times during the weekend, most likely, and we'd just play and allow for us to have those large parties that you may not get to play with all of the time.

For 360, we'd play games like Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, Gears of War, Call of Duty 2/3/4, Perfect Dark Zero, and Halo 2. Someone, such as myself, would set up the party and would post the time and the Gamertag for the session. Then you, the members, would join in and we would play different gametypes for all of these games. There would most likely be a new game every week, to keep the variety going.

For PC, there would be another member who would host these sessions in games like Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2, and so on. The same basic ideas from the 360 sessions would apply.

This would just be a fun way for us to extend the forum's community beyond the forum itself.

If we get enough interest, this could very much become a reality. So, what do you think? Would you participate and is it a good idea, or is it not?

I would take part if I played any of the games listed, or even owned a copy (or a XBox 360 for that matter)

Those are just examples. If you have games, we'll see if we can get the following of players who will play.

I'd take part in the PC gaming. But how would we host that or even get that going? I guess we could all join some specific server or something similar.

Yeah. One of the Staff, or appointed members would set it up. They would create a server (If the game supports it) and then provide the instructions to join, such as the name and a password.

Haha, no reason to post your gamertags yet. There are a few things to be figured out before we get this up and running

If we do, that is. This is just to guage what people think of the idea.

I could only play H3/H2/Rainbow 6. Don't own that many games.
I wouldn't mind joining up when I have the time.

Great idea, this could be fun. Unfortunately, I don't have an xbox 360. I'm definitely up for some CS (1.6 ftw) though..

we should have hosted games in tremulous its a fps for pc thats free and is a light 100mb not to mention very fun tremulous.net is where youll find it

Well, if we can get the support for the platform, then hell, we can do any console. Right now, I just knew that I could do Xbox, and there are a lot of PC gamers. Not many people have PS3's, and I'm not even sure about PS2's online... Anyway, if you can find the following for it, you're good.
