Rumor: Halo 4 Confirmed?

While this seems pretty straight forward, I suppose it's possible the Hollywood Arts people jumped to some conclusions when they said there was a Halo 4, but I sorta doubt it.

Can't say I'm surprised either. However much I like Halo, I will be disappointed if it turns into some kind of Final Fantasy type game (which i've never played, there just seem to be tons of iterations of it).

It was supposed to be a trilogy. Three's a good number. Any more and it starts to become jaded.

Well the reson for halo3 is to finish up the story of the halos. halo 4 would probablly be a tie in with marathon.

I'm just fine with halo 3....i dont want it to be like 12 halo games because then that will ruin the game and take out the excitement and stuff like that. You know

Exactly what I'm saying. It's in a good spot right now. Biggest launch in entertainment history.

As for marathon, who knows? Bungie's got to work on something now that halo is finished.

The answer is no. Bungie has already said Halo is done but they are going to make a new franchise.

Relic said the same thing about another Dawn of War expansion, and now we have Soulstorm comming.

It's even more unbelievable since the ending is literally set up for another sequel.

Maybe they won't call it Halo anymore, but it will still technically be Halo and I am quite certain that it will be comming.

Halo is no more what is coming is another game (Working Title) The Forerunner and yes the same ones from in Halo but its completely different. Halo is done and as it should be sales are at its peak and therefore it will be retired. Now they have been talking about making new online versions for future consoles (Microsoft Consoles that is). As for the ending it is set up for the Forerunner game Im not sure how it will connect or even if the game takes place in the future or past but Halo is done.

Apparently, Bungie is thinking about a new story arc based in the Halo universe, but not under the "Halo" title... Possibly a remake of the "Marathon" series?

yeah im with you, masterchief pwns and even though the the end clip may say otherwise, he is no way dead. He probably crashed on planet inhabited by mutant plants.... yeah.... rock on....

Oh yeah and it would be cool if they could include the other spartans still alive in the next game. Because there are 7 still alive and like another 4 are lost in space (including master chief).

What are you talking about dead? The end clip has him crawling in to a cryo tube on some busted up ship and telling Cortana to "Wake me when you need me." How is that dead?

There was a rumor of bungie leaving MS, which means a new halo sounds rather iffy, but it's not for sure yet.

I highly doubt that, what with Halo Wars, probably upcoming novels, and Peter Jackson's big budget film in the works...

Depends on the Marathon series, I suppose. I don't think Halo Wars is made by Bungie, but I could be wrong.
