Hey, this is my first guide, so yeah, don't judge
![]() So basically it's going to be split into sections, and I am going to be adding on to it later. Here it goes... Updates: Removing DRM / Video Encryptions Saving Streaming Music/Videos Through WMP Easy Divx to WMV Converter Removing DRM First question is: "What is DRM?" Well, DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. That's basically a fancy word for saying "Copyrighted, Encrypted Music." The music industry doesn't like it when people get music free. When you download music from LimeWire or some other bitTorrent, you are basically stealing music. Some people think of it as stealing, and others just have strong beliefs that music should be shared, and it should be free. Depends on what you think of it. Anyways, if you download music for free off LimeWire, you shouldn't worry about removing DRM, cuz that is already done for you. If you bought your music, you may want to remove the DRM from it because it might be keeping you from things like burning cd's, or sending them to your friends. It is really easy to take off the DRM with a little program called TuneBite! TuneBite TuneBite basically takes of any encryption of any video or any song. I'll do a direct quote from their Q&A: Q: What does Tunebite do for you? Tunebite is designed for users to remove limitation of copy right of purchased audio files from internet. It can help you enjoy purchased audio and video move with mp3 player or other video player. Tunebite supports most of common video and audio formats including MP3, WMV, MP4, WMA, AA, OGG and WAV etc. So yeah that's TuneBite for ya. Works for removing encryptions on music AND videos. You can find the download for TuneBite HERE **Edit I looked into the legality of TuneBite and TuneBite IS legal. Sources: BlueSquad, TuneBite, PaulTech Network Saving Streaming Videos / Music This one I found out cuz I wanted the music video for "Walking Disaster" by Sum 41 ![]() So it's pretty easy. You can record any streaming media through Windows Media Player. This could record things like streaming radio stations, or asx streaming audio or anything like that ![]() Basically you download this program: SDP MultiMedia Put the URL of the streaming audio, and there you have it! Converting Divx to WMV Ok I found one of the SIMPLEST WAYS to convert Divx to WMV. You need Divx Player, and a program that already comes with your computer. That's right, WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER! Believe it. If you need to download the Divx Player, click HERE. Anyways, once you have Divx Player downloaded, all you have to do is import your Divx video! Yeah I was shocked too. After you have the video imported, drag it to the timeline, and "Save to My Computer!" Simple and easy. So far, this is all I have in my tutorial, but I will add more later, including PICTURES! For now, I need to finish up my homework I should have finished about 4 hours ago ![]() If anyone has requests on anything to add to this tutorial, email me at dunbjealous@live.com Thanks and happy zuning! (couldn't think of a closing)

The removing DRM part might be against forum rules.

Thanks for informing me on that
I looked into some sources that state that TuneBite IS legal for removing DRM, but if it is a forum stipulation to basically not mention TuneBite at all that would suck. Thanks again
