lol have you ever heard a band off of a MySpace page that is not half a$$ bad but when you try and download the song its tells you to go to their Itunes site and get it that way
well here is a little tutorial on a fairly easy way to save music from myspace or any streaming audio source... step 1.... download Audacity (free and awesome ) (Windows, Mac + Linux) and install (note you can also use other programs such as Soundbooth) http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windowsstep 2. basically you have to setup how the music is going to be recorded. so you go Start>Control Panel (Classic View for vista users) > Sound Once in there you should see 3 tabs on the top Playback (Speakers ect), Recording, and Sound. Click the Recording tab. if you have any microphones (like the ones built into laptops) you are looking something called Stereo Mix or Wave out Mix it is generally disabled right click and enable. (note this feature is hidden in vista so vista users will have to right click within the box and check the "Show Disabled Devices) Step 3. Open Audacity and go to the Preferences (Edit> Preferences) under recording select the Stereo Mix. and click okay. (Note you may also want to change it from Mono to Stereo) Step 4. Press Record and start the Streaming aduio when audio is finished stop recording Step 5. Play to see if you like it and save it either as a audacity file or a MP3 file, though to do that you must install the LAME encoder which can be found at the link posted above. Step 6. enjoy *NOTE* generally the wave is recorded at a lower volume than what you are listening to so you must either crank the tunes or raise the volume with audacity, Make sure green bars on the top do not hit red when you increase the volume or the sound quality will be reduced *NOTE2* there are many other tutorials on google for this kind of method if mine is confusing |

MP3 Gopher was another good way, you'd have to find the old version though.
