[Tutorial]Delete media on Software but not on Zune. Without guest mode. The best way
1) You put your media in a unmonitored folder
2) You drag and drop the media file in the zune software
3) Sync your content to your zune
4) Delete the files on your computer from the unmonitored folder
5) There's no more steps to follow. The zune software will try to sync the files you've deleted, but instead of deleting it off the zune, it'll skip the file.
Just tried it out, and it works. Good job.
The music won't play on the software, but it stays on the zune.
The music won't work because it's not suppose to work. Since you've deleted the music from your hdd, the zune software only have access to the library information.
This trick also works if you have music on an external HDD. ***The zune software will not delete the media off the zune if you disconnect the external HDD even if the media is set to be monitored.***
cool. I can get zunecard updates w/o the stupid sync groups.

I need some clarification. So, you put your files you want synched to your Zune in a folder...not monitored by Zune. Then, you drag your unmonitored folder into the Zune monitored folder and sync. Finally, you delete the files within your dropped folder which is within the monitored file?
Is this correct? Are you saying then that everytime I want to add new files to my zune and then delete them I have to reaccomplish this process?
If you're using zune firmware and software 2.5, You can try the other way of accomplish the same thing.
Load everything into the zune software. Sync, then delete stuff in the software. A window will pop up and it'll ask you if you want to delete the files and keep it on your zune. Select that and you'll be done.
