Default [HOW TO] Make XP theme look like Vista theme

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED AT LEAST 1+ GBS OF RAM FOR THIS, AND YOU HAVE A GOOD GRAPHICS CARD!!!

How To: Make XP Look Like Vista

1. Go to http://www.jcxp.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=23824, scroll down and choose a download link for Vista Transformation Pack 8
2. Follow instructions and choose your options when you run it (EXE File)
3. When installed, you might be asked to restart, if not restart anyways
4. Make sure when you restart and log back in the following are now are on your Computer:
  • TrueTransparency
  • ViOrb
  • ViStart
  • Thoosje's Vista Sidebar
  • Visual Tooltip
  • WinFlip
  • Your boot screen has changed
  • Your login screen has changed
  • That everything WORKS properly
Thoosje's Vista Sidebar
As soon as this is running, right click it and choose Preferences, and make changes so that it starts up with Windows. Click the + button up top and choose your sidebar gadgets (For Wireless, make sure you choose the EXACT one)

TrueTransparency
Make sure that you too have it start up With Windows, by right clicking the icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen start menu, choose Run At Startup

ViOrb and ViStart
ViStart: Make sure they are running, and open your Start Menu, click on the arrow on the right:

Choose Options and Make Sure you choose Show in System Tray and Start With Windows (ViOrb should be Fine)

You don't really need to use WinFlip, as it counts ViOrb and ViStart as independent applications so it looks a bit weird when using it...

Do what you want with Visual Tooltip, its just a small program thats no use to anyone

Make sure everything is running smoothly and that you have RAM still there (AS SAID ABOVE, HAVE AT LEAST 1GB OF RAM OR MORE)

Restart and Enjoy ,
Vettexl

EDIT: Here is a pic of the end results

It's still junk. It freezes a lot and the winflip doesn't work. The start menu you experience when you tried it was a glitch. I had to switch the theme to my custom Vista Beta 1 theme in order to fix that glitch.

8.0.1 is a lot better since Version 6, which was complete crap. Yes, it has a few minor glitches but they can be fixed (Hey, don't use WinFlip for all i care, i don't like it anyways )

This isn't six, and six was crap anyways. Your grfx card is 16MB?! You need to upgrade

I was tempted to try this on my XP partition of my hard drive, but from all the problems I see you all have been encountering, I guess I'm kind of glad I have Vista.

Couple of things:
1. How did you get the Firefox Gadgets onto the sidebar?
2. Shouldn't there be an app. similar to Aero?
3. How did you get the toolbar thats right next to the Vista start menu?
4. Only certain windows seem to have the glass effect, but when i open, say, Firefox, it has the basic vista coloration and no glass effect. on windows X's site it shows that all windows should have the glass effect, along with the start menu. Should there??
