I've followed ever step about 100 times and still no luck....I heard on a couple different forums that zalternator doesn't play nice with 64-bit vista....please tell me that's not the case cuz I frickin' hate that zune software (why would microsoft not make zunes compatible with WMP...its a windows application!....RETARDED).

is there anyway to completely cut out the zune software because mine doesnt load on my computer, and it wont let me uninstall it, but it doesnt work, and when i try to reinstall it it still doesnt work, so is there anyway to use WMP or WinAmp by themselves without having the zune software?

No. At least for the time being.
The Zune software is needed to unlock your Zune.

if i were to do all this unlocking on a computer other than the one i want to use it for.. since i have vista and it wont work..
will i be able to use media monkey on my vista computer, AFTER doing all the above steps?

awesome tutorial! I have one question though. When adding cover art with MM, does it matter if I add it to the tag or folder? Will my zune 30 read the cover art if I add it to the tag?

The requested URL /whiterabbit/zalternator installer.exe was not found on this server.

It still won't work.
But check and see if zAlt's been updated for Vista. I'd be somewhat surprised if Pity hasn't fixed that yet.

Thats cool, but the only thing now is that with the new zune software updates, it dosn't skrew up your album information! Try zune again and see, at least it dosn't skrew up mine!
