Default [Tut] Watermarks

First, change your font in your Character palette to Times New Roman.. this way you'll be able to see your © symbol.

Open your Actions palette. Click the Create a New Action button and name it whatever you like. Now you're making an action! How exciting, huh?

Click on the Text Tool. In the Character palette, change the font color to a neutral grey so that you'll be able to see it in most pictures.

Click in your picture where you want your watermark of your name. Now, hold down the ALT key and on the number pad, type in 0169 then let go of the Alt key. The © symbol will appear. Type your name or whatever. Click on the check mark on the options bar above to accept.

If you want the same font for each picture, select it now in the character palette. Otherwise, just leave it. Also decide on the size of the font now if it will always be the same for each picture. Also, feel free to change to the Move Tool and move your text to where you want it. This is all being recorded.

Ok, now go to the Layers palette and click on the Add a Layer Style button. Select Bevel and Emboss. You can increase the depth and size a bit, but basically it is good the way it is for this effect. I think I also add Contour too but it's not imperative. Say ok.

Now, in the Layers palette, take the slider next to Fill (NOT opacity) and slide it to 0. This makes the layer (text) transparent, but still shows the Layer Styles.

IMPORTANT: Now go to the Actions palette and click the Stop button! (If you forget and do stuff you don't want recorded, just hit the stop button as soon as you remember and highlight all the extra stuff you don't want and delete it. You can also delete a single step; drag it to the little trash can, so you're not stuck with a step that you really don't want.

There you go, and now all you have to do is select your action, hit the play button and sit back and enjoy the show!

Then go in and make any little changes you want like font or placement.

Let me know how this works out for you!

not my work
