Here's a little tutorial on how to convert your videos to MP4 using 3GP Converter.
First download the software Link 1: http://www.nurs.or.jp/%7Ecalcium/3gp...nverter034.zip Mirror: http://download.videohelp.com/downlo...nverter034.zip After you extract the file, go into the folder and run the Setup.exe file. ![]() This will give you a handful of options as to what format you would like to convert your files to. We will use "Model: MP4, for PSP". This is designed for the PSP but the file works just as well on the Zune. ![]() Next select your bitrates. They give you several choices of bitrate settings, though you cannot customize it beyond their preset options. I find that for the Zune, 384/512 are very good. Difference in Mono/Stereo is negligible as far as file size so I just go for Stereo. ![]() Next, choose what directory you would like to save the file to. Click the "Browse" button and select your folder. ![]() After that, just drag your videos into the "Drag & Drop files here" section and they start converting automatically. You can add as many as you want and the next one will begin converting as soon as the current one is finished. You can even hover your mouse cursor over the progress bar to get an ETA as well as expected file size. ![]() When it's done you will get a .MP4 file. It also creates a .THM file but that is for thumbnails on the PSP, you don't need that so you can just delete it. ![]() And that's it. Now add the .MP4 file to your Zune software and sync it with your player. I have found the only format it does not convert is .MOV. I did get it to convert one but more often than not it doesn't convert that format. Just FYI. Last edited by Archetype : 11-24-2007 at 05:18 AM. |

I think that that's only for the new zunes. A native video format would be one that doesn't require coverting in the zune software, right? .mp4's always get converted, but only SOMETIMES, a .wmv will sync right to the zune without being converted. other times, the Zune software converts it, I have no idea why...
