Rodrima77, make sure that you have it set to where windows firewall works for all connections. you may have it set to be for the wireless only.
Also did you set-up the wireless sync when your computer was using the wireless card, this may of set it to be associated with the wireless lan connection instead of the wired. May want to try and reassociate the zune with the wireless network in the Zune software while you are plugged in. For those that are having the problem, do you ever get the beeps from our computer, like the nes you get when you connect a new peice of hardware? you may want to check your device manager to see if the Zune is showing up, with any problems, may ned to just reinstall the drivers.

do you have any files playing or paused? for some reason, i cant sync if the pause symbol is on the screen. i have to take a few seconds everytime to reset the zune and the wireless sync works fine.

Has anyone else had thier Zune wirelessly sync after recharging? I have recharged twice since tuesday and both times at the end of the recharge my zune (30 gb) automatically wirelessly syncs. It's really weird. Am I the only one with this strange phenomenon?

hi,
i have the same problem as cdlowe and dubedition209.i have two desktop computers both connected to our secured wireless network. one (the main computer) is connected via and ethernet cable. my zune's home computer is wirelessly connected to our WEP secured network. I have set it up with the passphrase and it was succesful. While trying to manualy sync wirelessly it has yet to make it past "connecting to pc" stage. When "connecting to pc" first appears on my zune's screen, the ethernet connected pc makes the beeping sound, and my zune shows up as a device in our linksys network software. I have visited the control panel-administrative tools-services, and have set both of the zune related services to automatic (XP SP@ on both pcs).We have windows live one care, i am not going to uninstall it, but i have scanned it thoroughly allowing wireless mobile devices to sync automatically. rebooted both computers multiple times. IT STILL DOESNT WORK!!!! IF ANYONE CAN OFFER ANY HELP PLEASE MESSAGE ME INSTEAD OF REPLYING TO THIS POST OR DO BOTH!!! THANK ALL OF YOU SO MUCH!!! |

I Have The Same Problem As Some Of You Guys--the Zune Sits At Connecting To Pc And After A Lil While The Dialogue "can't Connect To Pc. Make Sure You Are Logged On" Appears On The Screen.
What Exactly Are They Referring To When With "make Sure You Are Logged On". Log On To What? I Have Already Signed In To My Zune Account. One Of You Mentioned That There Is A Windows Live Log In Tab When Windows Start, But There Isn't Such A Thing When Windows Xp Starts. I Followed Every Of The Suggestions Previusly Mentioned Here And Still Im Not Able To Sync My Zune Wirelessly. I Had A Norton Firewall And Temporarely Disabled It... Didn't Work. Os Installed: Windows Xp Sp2 Can Anybody Come Up With The Answer To Finally Resolve This Problem? Ill Give A Cookie To The Winner! |

I had the same problem, i moved to mexico for a while and at first i had the same problem "not available in your region"... crap! I dunno how i managed to make it work yet, one day it just worked. Try: 1. Restart your PC 2. Configuration - Device - Wireless sync If u r lucky - like i was today that i finally could - u'll be able to do this. I THINK THE AVAILABILITY IN THE AREA (BRAZIL - MEXICO) IS NOT IMPORTANT. by the way, i'm runnin a mexican version of Xindows XP Media center... if u had vista, i'd be easier... good luck, i'm curently syncronizing worelessly for the 1st time, manually, unpluged to the energy jack... IT ROCKS MAN! (i have the first version of 30G zune, by the way) |

Seems like most of you that got stuck at connecting to pc.... have a router that have a built in security. You need to forward the port of what zune uses. In my case it is from 10280-10290 make the service tcp/udp then type in the corresponding ip address in which you want your zune to sync. in my case 192.168.1.2
have fun |
